Bill Gates vs Donald Trump

It's Business Executive verses Business Executive In the MogulDome!

"Welcome to the MogulDome", the big, burly, over-muscled (and probably steroid-enhanced) announcer shouts through the microphone dangling from the ceiling.

"It's here, in smackdown style, where the business executive wheat is separated from the business executive chaff!"

"In the red trunks, standing at $2.5 Billion dollars and a mouth bigger than the Grand Canyon is Doooonaaaaald Truuuump!"

"In the green trunks, standing at $60 Billion and a multi-billion dollar software monopoly is Biiiiiill Gaaaaaaates!"

The two business titans step into the ring, eyeing each other suspiciously. They begin to circle, trying to find an opening, each determined to open a can of whip-ass on the other. Then, in seconds, one mogul spies an opening and pounces ...

You have arguably the best known U.S. entrepreneur taking on unarguably the wealthiest U.S. entrepreneur.

At first glance, it seems like a quick knockout. Gates has had much bigger success than the Trumpster. There's really no comparison ... right?

Maybe not.

But maybe so.

Let's line up these business titans and make a quick comparison.

Company Success:

Bill Gates and Company have created a virtual software monopoly that is second to none. And, in about the last 15 - 20 years, Microsoft has not been in any major financial distress.

Donald Trump and Associates have made a mint developing and licensing real estate properties with the Trump name. Trump has also lost a mint and control of some properties due to overuse of debt.

Round 1: Gates takes it with several jabs and uppercuts.

Marketing and Promotion:

Bill Gates and Company have done a masterful job marketing Microsoft products. Bill Gates is very well known ... But mostly because he's the richest man in the world, not due to his personal marketing prowess.

Watching Donald Trump is like taking a trip to the circus. He's like the big-mouthed barker that announces the circus is in town, introduces all of the acts and takes center stage as the main act. He's everywhere - his own TV show, guest appearances, fights with other celebrities. He keeps him some publicity!

Round 2: Trump staggers Gates with verbal barrages and sucker punches. Trump wins here.

Wealth Creation:

Bill Gates and Company have probably created more billionaires than any other firm. That's right billionaires! And any old person that worked for Microsoft for a few years would probably end up at least a millionaire, or close.

I don't know who else in Donald Trump's firms have become millionaires, let alone billionaires, due to their working for the company. But I'm sure a handful of people have made a few bucks.

Round 3: Gates scores multiple knockdowns with punishing body blows and head shots on Trump. Round 3 for Gates.

Hair:

Bill Gates seems to have all natural hair that doesn't threaten to jump off and scatter down the highway at high speeds. It's conservative and typical.

Donald Trump ... well let's face it, does anyone know if it's real? I think his hair is really a small but ornery little animal curled up, sleeping!

Round 4: Trump's hair is exciting and get's people talking. Trump floors Gates as the animal on his head inflicts several vicious bites to Gates' hands and face.

Conclusion:

Gates takes two rounds. Trump takes two rounds.

It's a draw so far!
