I came across a recent article about the marriage-that-wasn't between actress Salma Hayek and French Billionaire Tycoon Francois-Henri Pinault.

The two decided to call off their wedding for some unexplained reason.

Frankly, I'm not really interested in the reason for the dis-engagement.

But it started me to thinking about why it seems many male Business Tycoons are attracted to female celebrities, and often take them as wives.

So, for discussion's sake, I've created a very short list of these relationships.

Why does it seem that so many male Business Tycoons migrate to female celebrities?

Is it that, in their early life, many of these men were not necessarily capable of getting the prettiest or most popular girl?

So now, in their later years, they over-compensate, by using their money, power, and influence to finally capture their greatest boyhood object-of-desire?

I don't want to ovestate this.

It's probably a small percentage of male tycoons that actually go the female celebrity route.

And I won't pretend that it really deserves much attention.

Or that you'll get some great business insight from this.

But it's sure fun as hell to talk about!
